Darwin Harbour is home to globally significant liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facilities that are critical to the energy security of our Asian neighbours.
The Territory Government wants to increase overseas LNG exports, and is supporting gas projects, including the Santos-led Darwin LNG Project and Barossa Gas Project, as well as the Inpex-led Ichthys LNG Project.
Darwin Harbour provides a service and supply hub for the offshore industry and Government is focussed on emerging projects for carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) through the Middle Arm Development Precinct.
